Working Co-operatively: Maintenance and More: The 2015 MCP Conference
Our 2015 National Conference Working Co-operatively: Maintenance and More started National Maintenance Week at the Priory Rooms in Birmingham on Friday 20 November 2015. All places were free, and open to anyone interested in caring for places of worship. You can read Becky Payne's blog entry about the day here. Those who attended:
- heard from volunteers already involved in active Maintenance Co-ops across our project regions
- listened to expert keynote speakers and learned from workshops on grants and funding, project management or setting up a friends' group
- had a one-to-one maintenance surgery with one of our technical team
- joined free walking tours of the City of Birmingham and its varied and surprising built heritage.
We ended the conference with a sociable gathering at the terracotta and tile Woodman Pub where delegates networked with other people involved in looking after places of worship.
